I slowly pull the paper off the calendar
I see the date February 14th
A day of candy, hearts, love, and kisses
But no one will be giving candy to me.
I think of the one I love
He has eyes that are so blue
How can he learn of my love
How can I get through.
A knock a soft knock on my door
I wonder who it can be
A red rose and envelope await
I can't understand or believe.
The card reads:To my angel
You're my one and only true love
After years of searching I've found you
Please take my heart and my love.
A tear streams down my face
As a hand caresses my cheek
I look up and see him and those blue eyes
And suddenly my knees get weak.
He whispers my name and gives a sweet kiss
I've dreamed of this day for so long
He holds me close and looks in my eyes
As the radio plays my favorite song.
I slowly pull the paper off the calendar
I see the date February 14th
One year ago today I found my love
And finally my love found me.
